Plans for May
This April was about what I expected after the high point that was March. The first week was consumed with preparations for my excursion to TFF, the second week with the trip itself, and the last couple trying to reorganize myself.
May is going to be one heck of a comeback–at least if I have anything to say about it. There’s a lot of reading and writing to be done, including some editing/review work on the Knights series, continued historical research for another project, and perhaps some more translation work if there’s time. Might even get started on a rough draft or two, but either way, I will continue my so far 4-month streak of writing and submitting magazine articles.
I will also be making two live appearances this month, so mark your calendars: Harry’s Hay Days this Saturday, May 3rd and Fan Expo Dallas May 30th-June 1st. Looking forward to all of it!

The Process of Self-Editing (Updated!)
Editing and revising can be the most tedious or the most exciting part of the writing process. On the one hand, you’ve completed your rough draft (a stage many never make it to) and are well on the way to finishing up. On the other hand, going over the same material again and again can be time-consuming and mind-numbingly dull. Plans for April
March turned out to be a very productive month, both personally and professionally. The latter included progress on a couple of projects (if not as much as I would have liked), reaching 50 outstanding submissions (which I’ve not managed in years!), and of course, attending the local Luck & Laughter vending event right here in Kansas City.
With so many things out of the way, April should be a fairly straightforward month. The only complication will stem from the fact that I shall once again be travelling to Dallas, TX to attend Texas Furry Fiesta 2025! Will I be vending? Probably at least one day. Like last year, I was unfortunately not chosen for a set spot for the weekend, and will therefore have to enter the daily lottery for the Artist Alley (for which I am much better prepared this time!). This will be interesting, as it will be the first time I have ever come back to vend in a place I have vended in before. So, the first half of the month will doubtless be consumed largely with that and the preparations leading up to it.
Otherwise, I hope to make some serious progress on the projects I worked on throughout March, and perhaps get another article written as well? I’m not sure, but either way, April will be a much more tumultuous month than March as I prepare for my vending season to begin in earnest.
