2025: A Year in Review

Greetings, and welcome to my final post of 2025! In this I will again be taking a look at my vending experiences throughout the year (I made no less than 12 this time!), but also just a general look at how things have come along and where they might be headed.

Texas Again: Bookselling at ACFI

This past weekend, I was once again selling from behind the Bluedrake Books table, this time at Alamo City Furry Invasion in San Marcos, TX. This experience was quite different from the weekend before at Gateway FurMeet, and indeed from many other experiences as a vendor.

A New Character Arch: Vending at Gateway FurMeet

This past weekend, I visited St. Louis, Missouri to try my hand at vending in yet another new venue: Gateway Furmeet (GFM).

Tulsa Times Two: Vending at TTFC 2025

Last weekend, I returned to Tulsa, OK to participate as a vendor at Tails and Tornadoes FurCon for the second year in a row. Some of you will recall that this particular convention proved to be my best vending experience of 2024. This year, things were a little bit different…

Back to the Big D: TFS 2025

Hello, everyone! It’s been a little while since I made a normal post, for which I apologize. But things are finally settling down after the last couple months of upheaval, so I hope to get back to regular posting again here soon. Beginning with a run-down on last weekend’s experience at Texas Furry Siesta!

Deepest South: Vending at StratosFur 2025

This past weekend, I attended StratosFur 2025, a furry convention in Houston, Texas. While Friday was a bit of a debacle, I managed to get a seat in the Artist Alley on Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th. Here’s how it went…

The Big One: Fan Expo Dallas

Until this year, I had never been to a comic con as an attendee, much less as a vendor. The largest event I’d ever vended at was Texas Furry Fiesta this April with 8650 attendees, and it went quite well. While Fan Expo doesn’t seem to keep such exacting figures, I’ve read estimates of upContinue reading “The Big One: Fan Expo Dallas”

Harry’s Hay Days…Not Mine

Last Saturday, I vended at my first outdoor event of the year (and yes: my first outdoor event since the disasters of October): Harry’s Hay Days in Grandview, Missouri. It was not a disaster, but nor did it compare to the glowing success of my first street fair a year ago.

Return to Dallas: TFF 2025

Last weekend, I returned to Texas Furry Fiesta, once again entering the Artist Alley lottery on a day by day basis, since I was once again not accepted ahead of time. This was my first time ever coming back to a venue I have sold at before, which makes for some interesting comparisons.

The Importance of Feedback

I have mentioned in several previous posts how important it is to get others to look at your work before submitting or publishing. Today, I’d just like to underline that fact, and discuss once more why it is so critical to achieve a superior product.
