Until this year, I had never been to a comic con as an attendee, much less as a vendor. The largest event I’d ever vended at was Texas Furry Fiesta this April with 8650 attendees, and it went quite well. While Fan Expo doesn’t seem to keep such exacting figures, I’ve read estimates of upContinue reading “The Big One: Fan Expo Dallas”

Harry’s Hay Days…Not Mine
Last Saturday, I vended at my first outdoor event of the year (and yes: my first outdoor event since the disasters of October): Harry’s Hay Days in Grandview, Missouri. It was not a disaster, but nor did it compare to the glowing success of my first street fair a year ago.
Return to Dallas: TFF 2025
Last weekend, I returned to Texas Furry Fiesta, once again entering the Artist Alley lottery on a day by day basis, since I was once again not accepted ahead of time. This was my first time ever coming back to a venue I have sold at before, which makes for some interesting comparisons.
The Importance of Feedback
I have mentioned in several previous posts how important it is to get others to look at your work before submitting or publishing. Today, I’d just like to underline that fact, and discuss once more why it is so critical to achieve a superior product.
Luck & Laughter?
This past Saturday (March 15th), I attended the first Luck & Laughter shopping event at the Sonesta Select Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri on behalf of Bluedrake Books. And to put it plainly…it was a bit of a dud. Why and how this happened I shall try to dissect below.
First Foray of the Year: Anthro Expo 2025
Hello again, everyone, and welcome to my first real post of 2025! Today I’ll be reviewing yet another experience as a vendor, this time at Norman, Oklahoma’s own furry convention: Anthro Expo.
BookTrib Review: ‘Journey to the Red Mountain’!
Good morning! Yesterday, BookTrib released a review of Sauragia: Journey to the Red Mountain. It’s a fun little read, so be sure to go take a look when you get a chance. Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a great holiday season!
Holiday Vibes at a Christmas Bazaar
This past weekend, I attended my last live appearance of the year at St. John LaLande’s annual Christmas Bazaar in Blue Springs, Missouri. It took place in the school gymnasium, and was definitely one of the cozier events I’ve been to this year. But was it worthwhile?
Cozy Times at Leavenworth’s Indoor Holiday Market
On Saturday, November 2nd, I made what may well be my final live appearance of the year at the annual Indoor Christmas Market in Leavenworth, KS. It ran for a mere 6 hours from 10:00A.M. to 4:00P.M., but it was truly a breath of fresh air after my last three appearances in October. At thisContinue reading “Cozy Times at Leavenworth’s Indoor Holiday Market”
Vending at Tulsa Oktoberfest
Last week, I spent a couple days vending at what was undoubtedly the biggest general public event I have ever attended as an author: the 45th annual Oktoberfest in Tulsa, OK. This event, considered one of the best of its kind in the entire country, did indeed have all the necessary elements: German food, GermanContinue reading “Vending at Tulsa Oktoberfest”
