Plans for July

I’m a week late on this one, but hope you all had a great holiday weekend! My June was very chaotic between vending in several locales and dealing with some personal issues. But things are calming down now (a little, anyway), and with no more vending until mid-August at Furry Siesta, hopefully I will beContinue reading “Plans for July”

Plans for June

May was a very long, very busy month. It began with Harry’s Hay Days in Grandview and ended with Fan Expo in Dallas (more on that later this week). In between, I made some great progress on my Knights of Aralia series (if not enough for my liking) and laid some plans for the future.Continue reading “Plans for June”

Plans for May

This April was about what I expected after the high point that was March. The first week was consumed with preparations for my excursion to TFF, the second week with the trip itself, and the last couple trying to reorganize myself. May is going to be one heck of a comeback–at least if I haveContinue reading “Plans for May”

The Process of Self-Editing (Updated!)

Editing and revising can be the most tedious or the most exciting part of the writing process. On the one hand, you’ve completed your rough draft (a stage many never make it to) and are well on the way to finishing up. On the other hand, going over the same material again and again canContinue reading “The Process of Self-Editing (Updated!)”

Plans for April

March turned out to be a very productive month, both personally and professionally. The latter included progress on a couple of projects (if not as much as I would have liked), reaching 50 outstanding submissions (which I’ve not managed in years!), and of course, attending the local Luck & Laughter vending event right here inContinue reading “Plans for April”

The Importance of Feedback

I have mentioned in several previous posts how important it is to get others to look at your work before submitting or publishing. Today, I’d just like to underline that fact, and discuss once more why it is so critical to achieve a superior product.

Plans for March

February has been a much better month than January. After finishing up at Anthro Expo, I did my best to reestablish a routine. While not entirely successful, I nevertheless managed to make progress on a number of projects, particularly the ongoing Knights of Aralia saga. This month should see even more stability (hopefully). Project goalsContinue reading “Plans for March”

Plans for January

Greetings, all! I hope this New Year’s Day finds you well, and ready to take on another 365 days of action and adventure! I am certainly excited, for not only does this day mark another year of possibilities, but October will mark my 5-year anniversary as a published author! Hard to believe it’s been soContinue reading “Plans for January”

Plans for December

November was one pretty amazing month for me from start to finish! Not only did I have a lovely time at the Indoor Holiday Market in Leavenworth, but my next Knights of Aralia book went on pre-order, I signed up for one more live event in December, and made great strides in other future projects.Continue reading “Plans for December”

Plans for November

October was simultaneously a very productive but also rather disappointing month. It saw my biggest streak of live appearances ever in a single month, though not one of those appearances turned out exactly as I had hoped. October also saw a increase in blog activity (mostly recounting my experiences in the aforementioned venues). Perhaps mostContinue reading “Plans for November”
