Have a wonderful day with family and friends, and don’t overstuff yourself too much!
Guest Post: Literary Corners: Designing a Functional Home Office in Limited Quarters
This week, I once more welcome back guest-poster Christopher Haymon of Adulting Digest. Many of us writers have very small areas designated specifically for our writing use, assuming we have any at all. In this post, Mr. Haymon will discuss how to get the maximum use out of the minimal space we so often have to work with.Continue reading “Guest Post: Literary Corners: Designing a Functional Home Office in Limited Quarters”
Best Reads of the Year List!
Howdy all! It’s that time again. Every year, Shepherd.com asks authors (and readers) to share their 3 favorite reads of the year on their site, along with a brief explanation of what made each book so great. Published authors also have the option to submit one book of their own to feature alongside each list, which makes this a unique and free opportunity for authors to promote their work and the work of others via recommendation by other authors! If you’re interested in this, go check them out by all means. In the meantime, here’s my list:
Also, Knights of Aralia Book III: The Return of Hope is finally on pre-order as well! For more info, visit the book’s page here. Thanks!
Happy Veterans’ Day!
It is 106 years since the ceasefire that effectively ended WWI, but we have not forgotten. At least, a few of us haven’t. To those who give their all to keep this country safe, my heartfelt thanks. God bless, and have a wonderful Armistice Day.
Cozy Times at Leavenworth’s Indoor Holiday Market
On Saturday, November 2nd, I made what may well be my final live appearance of the year at the annual Indoor Christmas Market in Leavenworth, KS. It ran for a mere 6 hours from 10:00A.M. to 4:00P.M., but it was truly a breath of fresh air after my last three appearances in October. At this point, you’ve heard plenty about my experiences at live venues, so I’ll try to sum this one up as briefly as I can.Continue reading “Cozy Times at Leavenworth’s Indoor Holiday Market”
Plans for November
October was simultaneously a very productive but also rather disappointing month. It saw my biggest streak of live appearances ever in a single month, though not one of those appearances turned out exactly as I had hoped. October also saw a increase in blog activity (mostly recounting my experiences in the aforementioned venues). Perhaps most importantly, I made great progress on many manuscripts, including the long-awaited Knights of Aralia Book III: The Return of Hope, which will soon be on pre-order at last!
This November, I would like to continue my progress on all my current projects with a view to starting with a clean slate come January. I would especially like to get moving on the fourth Knights of Aralia book, and perhaps finally pick up the strings of the next Sauragia book so I can at least get the rough draft done by the end of the year! Wouldn’t that be exciting?
As a side note, I will be making one final public appearance at the Indoor Christmas Market in Leavenworth, KS tomorrow, so be sure to stop by if you get a chance. Thanks!
Happy Halloween!
Have a good All Hallow’s Eve, everyone. Don’t stay up too late wolfing down all those leftover sweets!

Vending at Tulsa Oktoberfest
Last week, I spent a couple days vending at what was undoubtedly the biggest general public event I have ever attended as an author: the 45th annual Oktoberfest in Tulsa, OK. This event, considered one of the best of its kind in the entire country, did indeed have all the necessary elements: German food, German drink, live bands in giant festival tents, and even a neat little amusement park–all located in a large park beside the Arkansas River. And once again the weather was perfect! The prospects looked good indeed.Continue reading “Vending at Tulsa Oktoberfest”
