Last weekend, I returned to Texas Furry Fiesta, once again entering the Artist Alley lottery on a day by day basis, since I was once again not accepted ahead of time. This was my first time ever coming back to a venue I have sold at before, which makes for some interesting comparisons.

The Importance of Feedback
I have mentioned in several previous posts how important it is to get others to look at your work before submitting or publishing. Today, I’d just like to underline that fact, and discuss once more why it is so critical to achieve a superior product.
Luck & Laughter?
This past Saturday (March 15th), I attended the first Luck & Laughter shopping event at the Sonesta Select Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri on behalf of Bluedrake Books. And to put it plainly…it was a bit of a dud. Why and how this happened I shall try to dissect below.

At thisContinue reading “Cozy Times at Leavenworth’s Indoor Holiday Market”

This event, considered one of the best of its kind in the entire country, did indeed have all the necessary elements: German food, GermanContinue reading “Vending at Tulsa Oktoberfest”
Back to the Basics: The Burg Fest
This past weekend, I vended at the 11th annual Burg Fest in Warrensburg, MO. And it was yet another learning experience, to say the least. The Burg Fest took place along Main St. in the older part of town, as well as several side streets branching off of it. The weather was sunny, clear, hot,Continue reading “Back to the Basics: The Burg Fest”
Prairie Heat and Tractors: Vending at Peculiar Oktoberfest
On this week’s episode of I find out so you don’t have to: Peculiar Oktoberfest Vendor Fair! There is much to say about this event from a bookseller’s standpoint, and I will do my best to cram it all in here.
