Marketing Matters: Direct Distribution
Today, I’ve compiled a list of marketplaces where self-published authors and small publishers can “cut out the middleman” in getting their books out there. These are places that can publish e- and sometimes print books directly from the files you upload and the metadata you input. This list is not exhaustive, and I welcome any additions you readers might wish to make, but it should be a good place to start at any rate. They are arranged alphabetically.Continue reading “Marketing Matters: Direct Distribution”
Release: Bluedrake Books Editions!
Plans for June
May was a very difficult month both personally and professionally. The first half of the month was largely consumed with the passing of my sister and the aftermath. I have also lost several other more distant relatives in this same month. I have been able to make some progress professionally in spite of these and other setbacks, though not as much as I should like.
June will, I hope, be a much better month in many ways. Several projects must be dealt with, including a translation, my long-overdue rough draft of the third Sauragia book, some final touches on my upcoming series, finishing a novella, and who knows what else? Also, I’m pleased to announce that the new editions of my books come out today from Ash Tree Media, and I must say, they look very nice. If you all are interested, head on over to my Books page for more info.
Finally, for those interested, I recently did an interview with John Coleman of Apocatastasis Institute which aired on BitChute a few days ago, and will air on YouTube on the 26th. In it, I discuss my writing, publishing, and naturist beliefs.
Happy Memorial Day!
Under current conditions, you may or may not be doing anything to mark this day as the “official” start of the summer season. But regardless, let us take a moment today to remember those who have given their all to defend this country and her principles, both at home and abroad. God bless, and have a wonderful Memorial Day.
Marketing Matters: Distribution
There are many keys to successful marketing of a self-published book. Besides having a quality product to begin with, you have to push and promote relentlessly to make your product into a success, just like in any other business. You have to advertise in the right places at the right time to reach the right audience. But before any of this–before the ad design and marketing campaigns can really begin in earnest–comes one important ground-level factor: availability.Continue reading “Marketing Matters: Distribution”
Happy Mother’s Day!
To all you hard-working mom’s out there, thanks for everything you do. May this day be a good one for you.
Plans for May
April was another busy month, with progress slow but steady. I have made some editing progress, but mostly I have been busy trying to revamp my publishing company. And I am pleased to say, that Ash Tree Media is now up and running! There is still quite a bit of work to do, but I am confident it will become a worthy endeavor. For those interested in viewing the skeleton website, click here. All my books will henceforth be published by various imprints of this new company, including the old ones.
This month, I am looking to return to normal, though there are inevitably many wrinkles left to iron out. I am pleased to say that I have had several more pieces accepted for publication to be released at a later date. I am also excited to announce that I will be sitting for my first ever author interview on the 14th! When the interview is released, I will be sure to post the link. And then of course, there are still preparations to make for my appearance at Free Fur All in July.
All that aside, I do hope to finish up some editing/revising this month, progress on my rough draft, and maybe finally continue with that recording project for Woodland Tales. But as always, we will see.
