Writing About Touchy Subjects: Religion

Continuing from last Monday, another subject that might be considered sensitive is that of religion. Many stories and novels either barely mention the idea or avoid it altogether. Admittedly, this is often because it is not an essential plot element. However, it helps that this is one area where it is easy to rub peopleContinue reading “Writing About Touchy Subjects: Religion”

Writing About Touchy Subjects: Nudity

Sometimes writers encounter topics that can be tricky or even embarrassing to deal with. Subjects that I was always taught growing up did not belong in polite conversation. Yet, for the sake of the narrative we are putting forth, it is often necessary to push through somehow, lest we lose something in our attempts toContinue reading “Writing About Touchy Subjects: Nudity”

Plans for September

August was evidently a busy month, though with what, I’m not sure. I reckon I made progress on a few things, including a final review of the first book in my series to be released this fall. September will be a month of serious catch-up. However, it has historically been a very good month forContinue reading “Plans for September”

Sourcing & Bibliographies

Hello all! Sorry it’s been a while, but August has sort of whizzed by me somehow. At any rate, today I’ll be going over how to cite your sources in nonfiction works, as well as how to organize a proper bibliography. Plans for August

Well, July was one busy month, culminating in one of the busiest, most exciting experiences of my whole career as an author or a furry at Free Fur All 2022. Plans for July

June was a very busy month, and very productive as well. While not all goals were met, nevertheless, things picked up from previous months. I oversaw the re-launch of my old titles under my new publisher, completed a novella revamp many months overdue, and completed a review of my main series, which I hope toContinue reading “Plans for July”

Plans for June

May was a very difficult month both personally and professionally. The first half of the month was largely consumed with the passing of my sister and the aftermath. I have also lost several other more distant relatives in this same month. I have been able to make some progress professionally in spite of these andContinue reading “Plans for June”

Plans for May

April was another busy month, with progress slow but steady. I have made some editing progress, but mostly I have been busy trying to revamp my publishing company. And I am pleased to say, that Ash Tree Media is now up and running! There is still quite a bit of work to do, but IContinue reading “Plans for May”

Plans for April

March has been a long, exhausting month. Progress has been made, and it has been hard won. Nevertheless, I have managed to make a number of revisions and edits to books both old and new, as well as to get another short article written. I have also made some very big plans for April.

My Ten Favorite Women Authors

In case you weren’t aware (I wasn’t until a couple years ago), March is Women’s History Month. So, in honor of the occasion, here are ten ladies of literature I think deserve some attention for their contributions to the written word in order, and with web links where applicable:
